AMU PLAZA Nagasaki is a large shopping center directly connected to JR Nagasaki Station, featuring a variety of businesses including popular fashion stores, miscellaneous goods, a cinema, and restaurants. In March 2022, the "Nagasaki Kaido Umikaze Market," also directly connected to JR Nagasaki Station, began operations, bringing the total number of shops to about 200, making it a place where you can spend an entire day enjoying shopping and gourmet food. Inside the Nagasaki Kaido Umikaze Market, you can find a range of offerings from honey cakes to traditional Chinese snacks, famous Nagasaki seafood, and the largest souvenir shop area in Nagasaki City (with a total of 27 stores), as well as "Umikaze Yokocho," which provides local sake and cuisine, and "local restaurants" that gather local delicacies such as assorted noodles and udon. Almost all of Nagasaki's famous items are concentrated here. From AMU PLAZA Nagasaki, you can also take a bus or streetcar to attractions scattered throughout the city, such as "Glover Garden" and "Holland Slope."
