⛩️ Biei Shrine

Located in the lush and fertile Biei Town of Hokkaido, this shrine is famous for blessing love achievements and fostering good relationships. Alongside the "Shirahige Waterfall," which cascades down from the crevices of rocks, and the dreamlike "Aoi-ike" (Blue Pond), where decayed trees intertwine with the azure waters, it is one of the "Three Major Energy Spots of Biei," boasting immense popularity. One of the most noteworthy features is the heart patterns found throughout the shrine hall. It is said that these designs date back over 2000 years to the Yayoi period and symbolize meanings such as "moving forward," "driving away evil," and "exorcising demons." Historically regarded as symbols of good fortune, they are commonly used in shrines and temples. Modern people believe that the more heart patterns they find, the more luck in love they will attract, drawing couples and those troubled by love to visit. The "Nachikatsuura-Biei Fire Festival," held annually on July 24, is a sacred event that prays for the stability of Tokachidake and the prosperity of the city. The scene of a procession at night, with participants dressed in white and holding 12 large torches, is solemn and mysterious. If you have the chance, it is worth a visit.

Along with "Shiraito Falls" and "Aoiike," it is listed as one of the "Three Major Energy Spots of Biei." It is said that finding the heart-shaped pattern inside the shrine can enhance your luck in love. The "Nachitaki Biei Fire Festival" is held every year on July 24th.
