🗺️ Hakone Gora Park箱根強羅公園

Hakone Gora Park is Japan's first French-style formal garden, opened in 1914. Typically, the layout of a French garden features geometrical arrangements of landscaping elements such as ponds and plants in a flat and expansive area. However, Hakone Gora Park is built on a slope, with a height difference of 40 meters between the main entrance and the west gate. The park is filled with blooming flowers throughout the year, delighting visitors. In spring, there are cherry blossoms, azaleas, and rhododendrons; in summer, from late June to late July, hydrangeas bloom; in autumn, the park showcases beautiful red maple leaves; and in December, a Christmas tree decorated with poinsettias appears, enveloping the entire park in a romantic Christmas atmosphere. Particularly on August 16 each year, visitors can enjoy the scenes of the Hakone Gora Summer Festival, featuring large character bonfires and a fireworks display. The spacious park not only includes a tropical plant garden and a rose garden but also offers leisure facilities such as a café, a hands-on experience workshop, and a tea room. In addition to strolling and enjoying the scenery, visitors can also engage in various fun DIY crafting activities.

Established during the Taisho era in Japan, it has a history of over a hundred years and is Japan's first French garden. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy a beautiful variety of flowers and plants. The garden also features a café and a popular handmade experience workshop.
