🏨 Koseki Ikkyu Bekkan (Koseki Ikkyu Annex)

Established during the Tenpo era (1831-1845) under the name "Kosekiya," this long-standing ryokan specializes in providing long-term stays for hot spring therapy, known as "yuuji." Located in the heart of the Ginzan Onsen hot spring town along the Ginzan River, this ryokan is a wooden building that exudes a strong Taisho romantic atmosphere, with a charming exterior. The newly renovated fifth-floor "Romantic Rooms," added in 2016, feature spacious layouts with two connecting rooms that offer a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with views of the river and mountains. The ryokan boasts two indoor bathing facilities: "Hokkorinochika-yu" (ほっこりのちか湯) and "Nukkurino Kintaro-yu" (ぬっくりの金太郎湯), both of which are luxurious, flowing hot springs with therapeutic benefits for conditions such as neuralgia and rheumatism, allowing guests to fully relax in "Ginzan Onsen." The men's and women's bathing areas alternate usage at fixed times, so guests can enjoy both baths during their stay. Additionally, for those wishing to experience an outdoor bath, they can visit the sister facility "Ginzan-so," where staying guests can use the outdoor bath for free, which is a significant highlight. The ryokan also receives high praise for its kaiseki dinner made with seasonal local ingredients, with the menu changing according to the season, ensuring that each visit offers a different delicious experience.
