🏨 Kyoto Okazaki Bettei Hotel

Opened in January 2022, it is the first small luxury hotel under the Okura Hotels brand. Designed as an adult retreat, it is themed around "Kyoto Okazaki," "Higashiyama Culture," and "Heritage." The interior features room numbers styled like tea canisters, original lighting by Kinami Tsuji, calligraphy art, and Nishijin-ori wallpaper. Works by artists developed in Kyoto are displayed throughout, showcasing the modern beauty of Kyoto. There are a total of 60 guest rooms, themed as "Mountain Villa of Higashiyama." Rooms on the north side offer views of the garden of the "Shinshu Otani Sect Okazaki Betsuin (Higashi Hongan-ji Okazaki Betsuin)" and the expansive greenery of Higashiyama. Eight suites with private balconies are adorned with works by calligrapher Tomoko Kawao and Nishijin-ori textiles, creating a uniquely luxurious space. Additionally, the on-site restaurant "NOUVELLE EPOQUE" offers traditional "Okura French Cuisine" infused with the essence of Kyoto in its delicious dishes.
