Akita Prefecture's Oga Peninsula is famous as the hometown of Japan's representative folk culture, "Namahage." Located in the northern part of the peninsula, Oga Onsen's Seiko Grand Hotel features a hot spring with abundant natural flow. The water contains salt components similar to those in seawater, providing excellent moisturizing effects and earning the title of "Beauty Skin Hot Spring." In addition to the large public bath, the outdoor bath surrounded by seasonal beauty is also very popular. All guest rooms offer ocean views, allowing guests to gaze at the Oga Sea of Trees and the distant Sea of Japan from their windows. The main building and the south wing offer various room types, including Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and a combination of both. The VIP room (only one available) spans an impressive 76 square meters and includes a scenic bathroom, providing a luxurious accommodation experience that is highly praised. Dinner features a Japanese set menu made with fresh seasonal seafood. Among the offerings, the "Ishiyaki cuisine," where red-hot stones are placed in a pot to cook the ingredients, is a specialty of the Oga region and is definitely worth trying.
