A guesthouse located in a traditional house over a hundred years old. The owner, Mr. Yoshifumi Kawabata, was quite busy during his days as a salaryman and never had the chance to live well with his wife. Thus, running a guesthouse together in the future became his dream. The couple rode their motorcycle around searching for a location for the guesthouse and ultimately decided to settle on Yuge Island. The warmth of the islanders, the beautiful sea that changes its appearance daily, and the unique atmosphere where time flows slowly strongly attracted them to make this their home. After two years of hard work, the couple took on most of the renovations to transform the old house into a guesthouse, realizing their dream. The guesthouse can accommodate a maximum of six guests at a time. It feels like visiting your grandparents' home on a small island in the Seto Inland Sea, where you can enjoy simple and warm moments of stay. The outdoor bath was also handcrafted by the couple, allowing guests to warm both body and soul in the gentle embrace of nature. The guesthouse has a boat available for activities such as boat tours or fishing. The Kawabata couple eagerly hopes that through their guesthouse, more people will come to love this small island.
