📖 Details
Founded over a hundred years ago, Marumatsu Tea Factory is not only beloved by the local residents of Shizuoka Prefecture but also has enthusiasts across the country as a well-established brand. One of the most popular products is the gift box containing six varieties of Japanese tea leaves, each packaged in small amounts, allowing you to enjoy multiple types of tea at once. It can be paired with snacks at home and is also the perfect choice for souvenirs.
The rich and flavorful "Deep Steamed Green Tea" from Marukouen uses high-quality "Yabukita" tea leaves cultivated in gently rolling hills. Although all tea products use the "Yabukita" variety, the flavor can vary significantly depending on the producer and region. The pure green "Kabusecha," known for its mild taste and vibrant green color, is made from "Ryokou" tea leaves grown in vast tea gardens at an elevation of 150-400m on the slopes of Mount Fuji. The gift box also includes "Deep Steamed Green Tea" from Yamani-en, which boasts a floral aroma and a rich, sweet flavor. Additionally, the "Deep Steamed Green Tea" from Meiryuen and Yagi Tea Factory is also considered exceptional.
Notably, Marumatsu Tea Factory carefully selects and stores the tea leaves in an environment at -20°C, implementing strict quality management to preserve the leaves harvested at their peak deliciousness in a frozen state, maintaining them in optimal condition. Some tea leaves even develop a sweeter flavor through freezing, transforming into the ultimate delicacy.
