Originally operated by a couple who were backpackers, this youth hostel is beloved by travelers for its warm, home-like service.
Located in the traditional downtown shopping arcade "JOYFUL三之輪商店街" (JOYFUL Sanninwacho Shopping Street), one of its highlights is the ability to experience the charming and nostalgic atmosphere of Japan. Strolling through the shopping street while enjoying local delicacies such as yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), tempura, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) adds a special joy to your visit.
The first floor features a dirt floor (doma) serving as the reception area, and there is a tatami-matted Japanese-style room designated as a communal space that is free for guests to use. The Japanese room is equipped with wireless internet, allowing guests to dine or interact with each other, enjoying a relaxed and自由自在 (jiyūzizai, meaning leisurely) moment.
There are two types of guest rooms available: a mixed dormitory room (for 8 people) and a private room (for 1 to 3 people). Prices for the mixed dormitory start at 4,500 yen per person per night, while the private room starts at 12,000 yen per night for two people, making it an affordable option.
