📝 Introduction
Pudding themed after Osaka's signature star "Shitadatarou."
📖 Details
"Osaka's Specialty Shitako" was a restaurant located in the bustling Dotonbori area, one of the top districts in Osaka. The restaurant's mascot, Shitako Taro, made its debut in 1950. Even after the restaurant closed, Shitako Taro continued to greet customers in front of the entertainment building "Nakaza Shitako Building" in Dotonbori, welcoming them with its cute and amusing appearance.
Now a signature star of Osaka, Shitako Taro has many merchandise items, among which the Shitako Taro pudding is the most famous. This pudding has an incredibly smooth and delicate texture, and while it is delicious on its own, adding the accompanying slightly bitter caramel sauce and crunchy sugar pieces transforms it into the flavor of caramel crème brûlée. You can choose your preferred flavor to enjoy this delicious pudding.
The pudding's outer packaging resembles Shitako Taro's triangular hat, making it very cute. The special paper bag features a story about Shitako Taro losing its hat and finally finding it. It also includes a manual on how to enjoy the pudding, with Shitako Taro as the guide, providing plenty of fun beyond just the pudding itself. This uniquely Osaka-themed pudding is highly recommended as a souvenir.
