Sankō is located by the seaside, facing the vast Seto Inland Sea. This inn, which opened in 1966, was constructed from the old Manabo Elementary School that was dismantled. Since its opening, it has continuously undergone renovations and improvements while remaining in operation. Sankō's seafood dishes are very popular. The ingredients used in the cuisine are fresh fish caught in nearby waters on the same day, as well as seasonal local vegetables grown in their own garden. Every year, guests come specifically to the island just to taste the delicious dishes at Sankō. In addition to the main building converted from the old school, which includes Japanese-style rooms and Western-style rooms, there is also a handcrafted wooden cabin. Guests can quietly gaze at the sea and enjoy tranquil moments of "doing nothing," allowing themselves to fully relax. From the inn's bath, you can see the ocean right in front of you. The observation bath located on the second floor of the main building is an open-air seawater bath designed and renovated by the inn's owner. Guests can soak in the bath that feels as if it merges with the sea while enjoying the ocean view, providing a relaxing experience for both body and mind (advance reservations are recommended). After enjoying the hot spring, guests can rest in the lounge equipped with coffee and tea or interact with other guests. The inn also has a private dock where boats can be rented for island tours or fishing experiences. It is perfect for those who love water activities.

The inn was built by relocating the old Manabe Elementary School, which was demolished, and has been undergoing renovations and modifications almost continuously since it opened. In addition to the main building and other rooms, there is a handcrafted small cabin that comes highly recommended. The seawater open-air bath, personally crafted by the inn's owner, offers breathtaking views of the ocean (reservations are recommended in advance). The inn also features a private dock, where you can charter sightseeing boats to explore the surrounding islands.
