NIPPONIA Shisoyama Castle Town Hotel is a ryokan transformed from several ancient houses scattered throughout the Shisoyama Castle Town, each over a hundred years old. It is also the first hotel of the "VMG HOTELS & UNIQUE VENUES" group, which is dedicated to renovating historical buildings across Japan and giving them new life. The renovation and decor of the Shisoyama Castle Town Hotel were completed in 2015 by a local company called "NOTE." This company gained national recognition in Japan for the perfection of the renovation project at the Shisoyama Castle Town Hotel. The Shisoyama Castle Town Hotel features ten facilities with a front desk and restaurant. Each room, while pursuing comfort and convenience, retains the original structural characteristics and elements of daily life, allowing guests to experience the unique charm of a century-old residence. The Tamba Shisoyama region in Hyogo Prefecture is known as a "treasure trove of ingredients" in Japan, where one can enjoy French cuisine made with seasonal ingredients such as the famous Tamba chestnuts, black soybeans, and matsutake mushrooms. The dishes are served on rustic Tamba ware, adding an extra touch of charm to the already delicious cuisine.
