📜 Hotel Details

Suimeikan was founded in 1932 (Showa 7) and is a representative long-established ryokan of Japan's three famous hot springs, "Gero Onsen." Located alongside the Hida River, which flows through the center of the hot spring town, it features four uniquely styled ryokans: "Rinkankaku," "Huisenkaku," "Sansuikaku," and "Seiransou," each offering a variety of room types for guests to choose from based on their preferences or travel style. Starting with the "Shiryu no Yu" (Rinkankaku), which uses a large amount of cypress wood, to the "Kankei Daibutsuyoku" (Huisenkaku), which overlooks the streets of Gero, and the "Yoten Boku" (Sansuikaku), surrounded by greenery and large rocks, all three large public baths can be accessed regardless of which ryokan guests stay in. Guests can fully enjoy the Gero Onsen, renowned for its "beauty bath." In addition to dining in the guest rooms with seasonal kaiseki cuisine, there are four restaurants offering French, Chinese, and Japanese dining options. Furthermore, the Japanese garden features a real Noh theater stage, "Ishibashi no Ma," along with a gallery and tea room, providing various facilities to experience traditional Japanese culture. Daily guided tours by professionals introduce guests to the artworks, art pieces, Noh theater stage, and the 500-tatami banquet hall as part of the "in-house itinerary." Additionally, the ryokan is well-equipped with facilities such as a year-round hot spring swimming pool, gym (for a fee), and beauty treatments, ensuring a comprehensive experience for guests.
