📜 Hotel Details
A ryokan transformed from an ancient farmhouse with over 120 years of history, built in the traditional Yamato-style architecture. The "Yamato-style" is a common residential architectural style found in the Nara Prefecture, the Kawachi region of Osaka Prefecture, and the Iga region of Mie Prefecture. The architectural features include steep thatched roofs, gently sloping tiled roofs, and a combination of roofs with different inclinations.
The ryokan has two accommodation facilities, Building 1 and Building 2, both available for exclusive rental. Building 2 has four rooms, and since the partitions can be easily removed to connect the rooms, the space is quite spacious. The public lounge features tatami seating with a hollowed-out area under the table for foot placement, allowing guests to relax as if they were at home. Both buildings showcase traditional Japanese elements such as large beams, porches, and alcoves, providing a simple and tranquil atmosphere unique to ancient farmhouses, perfect for leisurely relaxation. Additionally, there is a garden equipped with hammocks where guests can enjoy barbecues, bonfires, and fireworks.
The ryokan does not provide dinner services, instead adopting a self-catering approach where guests can bring their own ingredients. Of course, barbecuing in the garden is also an option. Breakfast is provided free of charge, including items like bread, eggs, and juice. The pet-friendly service is quite popular as well. However, guests with children and pets need to make reservations in advance to confirm the relevant accommodation rules.
Surrounding the ryokan are terraced rice fields with stone walls built from stones piled up on the hillside, as well as historical sites, making it nice for nearby walks and explorations.
