A SQUARE opened in 1996 with the concept of "a brand new surprise awaits you at your old familiar place." In response to the changing times, it has been remodeled and transformed into a shopping center that continuously evolves. It is conveniently located within walking distance from JR Kusatsu Station, making it a central hub for local residents. Additionally, it offers 3,000 parking spaces, making it very accessible for those driving. Within its expansive grounds, A SQUARE features "AL PLAZA Kusatsu," which offers a complete range of lifestyle-related products, the largest home and living goods shopping center in the area, "DIO WORLD," a variety of shops from fashion to entertainment lined up in "SARA Specialty Store Street," and unique buildings like "Center Food Village" and "North Food Village," where restaurants and cafes gather. To allow customers to relax between shopping and dining, there are benches and tables available throughout the open space. Regular events such as exhibitions are held at the gallery and community space called A PLACE.
