🛍️ Akasaka Sacas (赤坂サカス)

📝 Introduction

A commercial district composed of the TBS television station and various other facilities.

📖 Details

Akasaka Sacas is a vast commercial area that includes TBS Television and many surrounding complex facilities. Due to the numerous slopes in the surrounding area, such as the Cherry Blossom Hill, and the abundant cherry blossoms that bloom here in spring, this commercial district was named Akasaka Sacas, combining the Japanese pronunciations of "sakura" (cherry blossom) and "saka" (slope). Among its emblematic buildings is the TBS Broadcast Center, which features a ground floor open to the public, home to a café and a shop selling original merchandise. In front of the building lies "Sacas Plaza," an area of about 1,200 square meters where a variety of colorful events are frequently held. The Akasaka Biz Tower is not only a popular spot to enjoy shopping but also boasts many restaurants offering cuisine from around the world, as well as stylish and beautiful cafés.

⭐ Highlights

It is recommended to take a walk on the green, lush slopes. From mid-February's 河津桜 (Kawazu Sakura) to late April's 八重桜 (Yaezakura), around 100 cherry blossom trees bloom here. The facility also includes a large theater and a small theater where live music concerts are held.
