🏨 Fujiya Hotel富士屋ホテル

Fujiya Hotel, founded in 1878, is a classic hotel representative of Hakone. As Japan's first authentic resort inn, it has been favored by many celebrities, including royalty and overseas dignitaries, for over 140 years since its opening. The hotel occupies approximately 7,600 tsubo (about 25,000 square meters) and features four accommodation buildings: "Main Building," "Western Building," "Hanagoten," and "Forest Wing," all of which maintain a harmonious blend of Japanese and Western interior design. The "Main Building," "Western Building," and "Hanagoten" have been registered as modern industrial heritage and as tangible cultural heritage of Japan. After approximately two years of seismic reinforcement and renovation work, Fujiya Hotel reopened in July 2020. In addition to continuing the history of Fujiya Hotel and preserving its historically valuable buildings, new facilities such as a spa, a hotel chronicle museum, and a bar exclusively for guests have been added. The guest rooms in the hotel exude an antique charm, and all rooms are equipped with natural hot spring water from Miyanoshta, allowing guests to enjoy the famous Hakone hot springs right in their own rooms. During meal times, guests can enjoy French cuisine at the hotel's signature restaurant "Main Dining room・The・FUJIYA," or choose from two other restaurants offering Japanese and Western dishes, totaling three dining options.
