🎎 Gifu Lantern Story

Using traditional crafts such as Gifu umbrellas and Gifu lanterns, a unique lighting event is created in Gifu City. Among the venues for the lighting event, such as Gifu Park and Shoboji Temple, the most iconic photo spot is the "Kanzaki Gate" at the entrance of Gifu Park. The scene, illuminated with the color palette of Gifu umbrellas, is particularly eye-catching. A three-dimensional projection shines on the steps, creating a 50-meter-long path of light. There are also several exciting lighting themes, including a stunning display designed with dozens of Gifu umbrellas, arranged to flow like a "Waterfall of Umbrellas," and the breathtaking three-dimensional projection technology that decorates the dream garden of the Warring States general Oda Nobunaga, known as the "Illusionary Light Waterfall." Additionally, visitors can see the Gifu lanterns and colorful lights illuminating the Gifu Great Buddha alongside Shoboji Temple, experiencing a solemn atmosphere different from the usual. During the event, there will also be a "Gifu Castle Panoramic Night View" held for six days. From the Gifu Castle's main keep, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree unobstructed view, relishing the blissful moment of taking in the night scenery of Gifu City.
