🏨 Ginzan Onsen Ryokan Koyamakan

📝 Introduction

In a charming wooden building with over 90 years of history, enjoy moments of tranquility and thoughtful hospitality.

📖 Details

The most impressive landscape of Ginzan Onsen in Yamagata Prefecture is the series of small bridges spanning the riverbanks, lined with ryokans built from the Taisho to early Showa periods. Among them, Koyamakan is a wooden building constructed in the early Showa era, and it is a charming, long-established ryokan. The interior retains the atmosphere from the time of its construction, with furnishings like tables, sofas, and clocks all unified in a retro style, creating a romantic space that feels like stepping back into the Taisho era. There are a total of 8 guest rooms, including those with views of the hot spring street and mountain views. Two of the rooms are connecting, accommodating up to 8 people. The indoor hot springs feature a women's bath with a warm wooden feel and a men's bath made of rock, allowing guests to enjoy the mildly acidic and gentle waters of the Ginzan Onsen spring. Additionally, there are 2 private baths that can be used freely whenever they are available. Dinner offers kaiseki cuisine made with local ingredients such as "Tsuya-hime" rice and "Obanazawa beef," along with a variety of seasonal ingredients. Next door is the Koyamakan Shinkan CLANUOVA, known for its stylish atmosphere and authentic Italian cuisine.
