📜 Hotel Details

Adjacent to the famous tourist attraction "Heian Shrine" in Kyoto, a traditional Kyomachiya over a hundred years old has been transformed into a unique accommodation facility. Opened in 2006, it is considered a pioneer of the now-common Kyomachiya guesthouse renovations. The renovation of the inn was completed by a French owner who is a carpenter, along with his wife. Upon entering the entrance hall, you are immediately greeted by sliding doors painted with roses and a reception desk, along with a public area furnished with antique furniture. The tranquil and leisurely space feels completely isolated from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kyoto. In the pure Japanese-style garden, you might occasionally see green-backed tit birds playing around. The guest rooms include luxurious rooms facing the garden with a corridor, a twin room accommodating three guests, a double room for up to two people, and a single room suitable for solo travelers. You can rent a yukata for a fee, immersing yourself in the unique Japanese atmosphere of the town house. Additionally, hair dryers, curling irons, and electric kettles are available for free borrowing. Located just two buildings away is the annex "Minpaku TSUKITO (ゲストハウス月と)," which interested travelers may also want to consider.
