🏨 Kanekichi Ryokan (Kanekichi Inn)

Kaneyoshi Ryokan (兼吉旅館) is a long-established inn that opened in Taisho 8 (1919), located in the heart of Osaka's Minami district, specifically in Dotonbori. It is close to the iconic "Ebisubashi" bridge, known for its large signboards and famous dining establishments, as well as the charming "Hozenji Yokocho." The nearest station, "Nipponbashi Station," is just a 3-minute walk away. Across from Dotonbori River, there is a boat boarding area, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in Osaka, Nara, and Kyoto. Inside the inn, there are tatami guest rooms and a large bathhouse with tiled walls, exuding a strong retro atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era. The river-view rooms offer a stunning view of the Dotonbori nightscape and the river, making them quite popular. Accommodation options are limited to either breakfast included or room-only stays. Guests can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants in Dotonbori or take food from nearby restaurants and convenience stores back to their rooms, or even order delivery to the inn's front desk. In April 2023, a co-working space was opened for guests. It features various areas, including a tatami space for stretching out, a table and chair area, and a bar counter area, catering to various needs for relaxation or work. Additionally, there are economical guest rooms without bathrooms or toilets, suitable for long-term stays.
