🛍️ mAAch ecute Kanda Manseibashi

📝 Introduction

A shopping center renovated from historically valuable railway structures.

📖 Details

The old Manseibashi Station, built in the late Meiji era and once the starting point of the Chuo Line before the opening of Tokyo Station, has prospered and developed. It has now been transformed into a commercial facility after renovations, featuring the existing JR Chuo Line elevated bridge, the "Manseibashi Elevated Bridge." Designed with the concept of "Manseibashi Station Salon," it utilizes the beautiful red brick architecture and the orderly arches of the interior space, along with the historical and precious remnants such as the staircase leading to the old platform. This space harmonizes history and tradition with modern times, stirring feelings of travel and nostalgia. The old platform has been renovated into the "2013 Platform," allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of being inside a station. It features a glass-structured observation café terrace; the north side, known as the "NORTH CORRIDOR," includes restaurants and cafés with an open deck facing the Kanda River; while the south side, the "SOUTH CORRIDOR," houses accessory shops and a bar serving non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages, along with various shops catering to personal interests.
