🏨 Miyama Town Nature and Culture Village - Kajikaso

📝 Introduction

Spend a healing time in a thatched village that retains the original scenery of Japan.

📖 Details

The accommodation facility in Miyama that retains the original scenery of the mountain village nearby features thatched-roof buildings. The main building, designed in a log cabin style, is constructed from Miyama cedar, and the high-ceilinged lobby offers a spacious feel. In winter, the fireplace is lit, allowing guests to immerse themselves in an exotic atmosphere. The guest rooms in the main building are located on the second floor and require climbing stairs. These rooms are traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, and the toilet and bathroom are shared. The new building offers Western-style guest rooms equipped with four tatami mattresses, a private toilet, and a bathroom. Rooms facing the river provide a view of the Yura River, while mountain-facing rooms allow guests to enjoy the charming natural scenery of Miyama. An elevator is available, and older travelers are advised to choose the new building. The spacious public bath, with enough room to stretch out, features a floor made of powdered charcoal, creating an optimal magnetic field and negative ions. The hot water is softened by passing through pine stones, warming guests from the inside out. In the open-air bath overlooking the Yura River, guests can enjoy a healing experience that connects them with nature. Accommodation packages that include meals are also highly recommended, allowing guests to taste local ingredients such as the rice "Mino Mino," spring mountain vegetables, summer sweetfish, autumn matsutake mushrooms, and winter wild boar, all abundant in Miyama.
