This new type of karintō has been made into bite-sized pieces, which were previously long sticks coated in brown or white sugar, making it very convenient to eat. They also continuously introduce various flavors using Japanese ingredients. The assorted gift box includes flavors like gobo (burdock), purple sweet potato, vegetables, dashi (Japanese soup stock), sesame, brown sugar, soy sauce, washizukuri (double sugar), and shichimi togarashi (seven spice).
