📜 Hotel Details

The Tatsumi-kan is located along the clear waters of the Tone River. Surrounded by nature that showcases different beautiful scenes with the changing seasons, it transports visiting travelers into a wonderful world away from their daily lives. The atmosphere is tranquil, with spacious and comfortable surroundings that allow guests to temporarily forget the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a leisurely and relaxed time. The on-site hot spring bath is renowned locally for its skin-beautifying properties. The spring water, which seeps underground after melting snow from Mount Tanigawa, emerges after a long journey of seventeen years, making the skin smooth and hydrated. The facility features several uniquely designed and charming luxurious baths, including a garden outdoor bath, a bath made entirely of cypress wood, and private reserved baths for exclusive enjoyment. Among them, the most impressive is the "HANIWA bath." The bathroom features a large mural that recreates the original collage of the artist Kiyoshi Yamashita, who is known as the "Vincent van Gogh of Japan." Soaking in the hot spring while admiring the mural, which becomes hazy and ethereal in the rising steam, is a truly luxurious experience. Dinner offers the locally famous rustic dish "Kensanzuke." The chef prepares skewers using local meats, fish, and vegetables, allowing guests to grill them over charcoal while enjoying a hearty meal. The relaxed and lively dining atmosphere, warmed by the glowing charcoal, brings guests closer together, encouraging interaction and creating a cheerful environment to enjoy delicious food. The dinner also features a diverse selection of local sake. A must-try is the tasting set that allows guests to compare different sake varieties, including those from four breweries in the Tone Numata area, two types of craft beer, and wines from a local vineyard.
