📝 Introduction

📖 Details

Shinagawa Kado Takuan is a Western-style dessert shop located beside the old Tōkaidō road. The store displays over 40 items at all times, including cakes, baked sweets, and seasonal limited desserts made with fresh ingredients. The signature dessert, "Shukuba Cake Roll," features a sponge cake with a delightful texture, coated in melt-in-your-mouth buttercream, and rolled up with a choux pastry sprinkled with walnuts. Its taste is so enjoyable that you could eat it every day, and it comes in three flavors: vanilla, matcha, and chocolate. Additionally, there are creative baked sweets unique to Shinagawa, such as the fresh confections "Kabura" and "Shinagawa Kabure," made from the famous Edo vegetables of Shinagawa, specifically the Shinagawa turnip (both are winter limited items available during the harvest season). Furthermore, the "Shinagawa Full Moon," recognized as a Shinagawa souvenir, is also quite popular.
