🏨 Yuyū Yōzankaku

Located in the famous hot spring area of Akita—Oga Onsen, this ryokan features its own source of hot spring water with a rich flow of 200 liters per minute. Guests can enjoy the pleasure of soaking in a large public bath filled with natural hot spring water that flows directly from the "Namahagoi" (生剝鬼) and a charming outdoor bath. The water is rich in mineral deposits, soft and gentle on the skin. Its color changes with the seasons and temperature, appearing in unique shades of tea brown or green. The spacious guest rooms are designed in a serene Japanese style. Situated at the highest point of the hot spring area, the views from the windows are exceptional. The themed rooms, inspired by "Namahagoi," are also popular, featuring a cohesive modern Japanese design concept. Dinner consists of a multi-course meal made with seasonal ingredients, traditional cooking techniques, and creative dishes from the chef. Local Akita specialties such as "Yaki Komi Bō" (烤米棒鍋) and "Shio Sakana Nabe" (鹽魚汁鍋) are available, along with the option to order additional dishes like Oga Snow Crab. Please note that the ryokan does not have an elevator, and guests will need to use the stairs to access different floors. Additionally, the ryokan does not accommodate preschool-aged children, so please pay special attention when making reservations.
