🎨 Hotel Gallery
📝 Introduction
A traditional inn proud of its source-flow hot springs.
📖 Details
Located in the renowned Yuzawa Onsen, known as one of Japan's "Three Beautiful Hot Springs," this traditional inn features only 17 guest rooms. Nestled in a quiet mountainous area, it has transformed an Edo period farmhouse into a charming hot spring ryokan.
The guest rooms are divided into three types. The "Kominaka Bekkan no Yado" offers a spacious semi-open-air bath with a wooden deck and a private garden, combined with classical decor; the first floor showcases the traditional beauty of Izumo architecture paired with European classical furniture, while the second floor features uniquely styled black beams and lattice doors harmoniously integrated with curtains in the "Shiun-kaku"; and the "Healing Inn," where all rooms face the garden and are illuminated at night.
There are five uniquely styled private baths available for reservation, all featuring natural hot spring water that is neither diluted nor heated, open for use from 3 PM to 10 AM the next day. The inn has a resident hot spring guide who provides various consultation services regarding the water quality and bathing methods. There are six guest rooms that include private baths.
In the evening, guests can enjoy Japanese creative cuisine made with abundant Izumo ingredients, such as black throat sea perch, Matsuba crab, rock oysters, Shimane wagyu, and Hiikawa sweetfish, in a restaurant adorned with antique furniture that exudes a foreign mansion ambiance. It is recommended to pair the meal with local sake from the San'in region, suggested by a sommelier or a Shimane sake expert (the menu varies according to the season, ingredient availability, and reservation plan).
