About Amanohashidate Brewery
It features a restaurant with a brewery that offers a panoramic view of Amanohashidate.
Details
The "Amanohashidate Winery" uses TANGO grapes grown on its own farm to produce wine with the most advanced brewing techniques. In the attached restaurant, guests can enjoy meals while admiring the pine-covered Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three scenic views, along with the sprawling vineyards leading to the sea and the tranquil beauty of the Aso Sea.
During lunch hours, a buffet is offered featuring vegetables sourced directly from producers and a wealth of natural ingredients from the TANGO region, known for its culinary treasures. The menu includes a variety of Japanese and Western dishes. A selection of red and white wines is also available, with options for both dry and sweet varieties (additional charges apply), allowing for perfect food and wine pairings. During afternoon tea, a variety of beverages, cakes, and desserts are offered.
The winery also features a wine specialty shop, a bakery, and a market, where visitors can find Amanohashidate wine, freshly baked rice flour bread, and locally harvested vegetables, making it a great place to pick up souvenirs. The fermentation room, wine cellar, and vineyard are open for free tours. Additionally, guests can pay to sample unique wines, such as the fermented red wine only available at the winery, which has received high praise from visitors.
