The location centers around the "Asagaya Pearl Center Shopping Street," extending from the south exit of Asagaya Station all the way to Ome Street. The event began in 1954 to attract more visitors to the shopping street during the hot summer months. The arcade of the Asagaya Pearl Center Shopping Street is adorned with handmade paper decorations, large flower balls, and streamers, creating a lively and colorful atmosphere. The "paper decorations" are crafted based on contemporary topics or trends, resulting in many delightful masterpieces that bring smiles. Additionally, there are creations from various shops in the shopping street, as well as works from nearby elementary schools and kindergartens that add a warm touch. During the event, the entire shopping street is bustling with activity, featuring food stalls and various booths, such as goldfish scooping, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
