📖 Details

The Hoshino Resort in Karuizawa holds an annual event during the rainy season. The streets of Yuzuki Street Town, which gathers 16 shops and restaurants, are adorned with over a hundred colorful umbrellas in red, blue, green, and more. Even when it rains, when people look up at the beautiful early summer sky of Karuizawa, they can feel a sense of relief and joy. It is a wonderful event that allows people to maintain a pleasant mood even on dreary rainy days. The event is free to visit from 8 AM to 10 PM. On sunny days, sunlight filters through the translucent umbrella canopies, casting shadows on the wooden deck below; on rainy days, the wet wooden deck reflects the umbrellas and trees like a mirror. The scenery changes with the weather, offering beauty whether it is sunny or rainy. From 6 PM to 10 PM, after the lights are turned on in the resort, it transforms into a dreamlike scene. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll while enjoying the sights or relax at the restaurant's terrace seats, savoring their meals while immersing themselves in this special atmosphere.
