BAKERY & RESTAURANT Sawamura opened in July 2015 at the Karuizawa Rotary, making it the second store in Karuizawa after the one on Yuju Street. The shop offers freshly baked bread right from the oven, catering to the residents of the nearby villa area who frequently visit.
The interior features an open atrium, creating a calm and spacious atmosphere. The bakery on the first floor is filled with bread made from over 30 carefully selected types of flour from both domestic and international sources.
The attached restaurant serves a variety of dishes made with seasonal ingredients from breakfast to lunch and dinner, each perfectly paired with bread. During lunch hours, there is a thoughtful service that allows guests to refill their bread as desired. The menu includes the SAWAMURA special burger, which features a thick, juicy meat patty sandwiched in a specially crafted burger bun, along with a rich selection of light meals.
Surrounded by lush greenery, enjoying the aroma of freshly baked bread in the clear air is a luxurious experience unique to Karuizawa. In addition to the casual tavern-style interior, there is also a refreshing open terrace that is highly recommended for dining.
