🍜 Chasen (茶筅)

📝 Introduction

The dessert "Tamatebako" made with the highest grade matcha has become a hot topic.

📖 Details

A specialty store for kiln-baked desserts, where you can only taste the "dessert that is both cold and hot and will melt" when it's freshly made. The signature dessert is the "Matcha Chasen & Tamatebako Dessert," served in a wooden box. The moment the lid is lifted, smoke billows out, reminiscent of Urashima Taro opening the treasure chest given to him by Princess Otohime! Just like a traditional kaiseki meal in Kyoto, it features a variety of matcha desserts presented in an eight-inch wooden box. This includes matcha jelly, matcha tiramisu, a mini sundae topped with soybean flour, and matcha truffle chocolates, among other rich offerings. There’s also the popular gyokuro Uji tea, handcrafted using traditional methods passed down by the 16th generation owner of the "Maruyoshi Yoshida Tea Garden." It boasts a wonderful aroma, with a delicate balance of bitterness and sweetness. Additionally, there are delightful pairings like the "Matcha Tiramisu" made with mascarpone cheese, and the "Matcha Ice Cream Puff," which features freshly baked pastry filled with matcha ice cream, as well as the "Kyoto Togao Mountain Matcha Sundae." Each Japanese dessert has its own unique texture and flavor. Besides desserts, there is also a wide variety of pizzas and other meals that are quite popular during lunch hours.
