About The Bridge of Heaven
The restaurant located at the top of Jinhua Mountain has an excellent location.
Details
The restaurant is located near the summit station of the "Gifu Kinkazan Ropeway," which connects Gifu Park with the top of Kinkazan Mountain, where Gifu Castle is situated. From the seats inside the restaurant, diners can enjoy a panoramic view of Gifu city, and the outdoor dining area known as the "Nobunaga Terrace" is also quite popular. To accommodate the night operation of the ropeway, the restaurant is open for evening dining, allowing guests to enjoy their meals against a backdrop of charming night scenery.
The cuisine is meticulously crafted using local ingredients such as Gifu's Hida beef and branded pork. Not only are the main ingredients sourced locally, but even the miso, soy sauce, and seasonings are almost all produced in the area, with every detail reflecting the charm of Gifu's culinary offerings.
In addition to the "Nobunaga Doteyaki Don," which features beef tendons and pork intestines slow-cooked in local miso, there are several dishes related to the famous warlords of Gifu. The dessert menu includes a set featuring waffles made with strawberries from Gifu Prefecture, paired with traditional Japanese black tea from a long-established tea garden.
