Ginza Mitsukoshi is located in the heart of Ginza, renowned for its high-end shopping district, and is one of Japan's premier long-established department stores, representing Ginza. Mitsukoshi originally started as a kimono shop named "Echigoya," with its origins dating back to 1673. The Ginza store opened in 1930 and has been a landmark of Ginza for over 90 years since then. The building consists of the "Main Building," facing the central street of Ginza, and the "New Building," separated by Higashi Street, with levels three and above connected, along with the "Mihara Building," which houses a photography studio. Inside, there are sections for food, beauty, women's clothing, groceries, men's clothing, home decor, and a gift salon, as well as a restaurant floor unique to department stores. Notably, the lion statue at the entrance of the Main Building is one of the most iconic meeting points in Ginza. It attracts a large crowd daily, bustling with activity.
