In Yamanashi Prefecture, one of Japan's top grape-producing regions, the production and quality of wine from Kōshu City are the best in Japan. "Katsunuma Wine Hill," located in Kōshu City, is a complex facility where visitors can enjoy shopping, dining, and accommodation centered around wine.
Highly recommended by Kōshu City, the underground wine cellar is a masterpiece. The cellar houses about 180 varieties, totaling around 20,000 bottles of wine. By purchasing a tasting glass called "TASTEVIN," visitors can sample all the wines in the cellar at once. Not only can they taste various delicious Kōshu wines, but they can also find their favorite through the tastings. After sampling, guests can purchase their preferred wines at the attached wine shop.
The observation restaurant at Wine Hill is also quite popular. Guests can enjoy wine and delicious dishes while overlooking the beautiful scenery of the Kofu Basin and the Southern Alps.
In the Japanese restaurant within the park, visitors can savor Yamanashi Prefecture's famous local dish, "Hōtō," and enjoy barbecue on the scenic terrace (reservation required). Additionally, there are various dining options, including Chinese cuisine.
The park also features hot spring facilities and accommodations. After indulging in the deliciousness of wine and exquisite cuisine, guests can relax in the hot springs to soothe their travel fatigue.
