🍜 Ogawa no Sho Rope Pattern OYAKI Village

📝 Introduction

In a building with a traditional folk house style, savor the hot and freshly baked Shinshu local delicacy "Onigiri" from the irori (sunken hearth).

📖 Details

In 1986 (Showa 61), a facility transformed from a farmhouse was established in Ogawa Village at the foot of the Northern Alps in Nagano Prefecture. Inside, designed in the style of a pit dwelling reminiscent of the Jomon period, visitors can taste the local traditional food known as "Onigiri" (御燒餅). The fillings for Onigiri include a variety of flavors such as stir-fried Nozawana (野澤菜), red beans, shiitake mushrooms, shredded radish, and eggplant, as well as some rare flavors like apple, potato, corn, fuki miso, and cheese pumpkin. The shop's "Jomon Onigiri" is grilled in a traditional sunken hearth, filling the air with a delightful aroma and receiving high praise. The shop is equipped with a sunken kotatsu (暖桌) and offers free buckwheat tea. Guests can relax by burrowing into the kotatsu while enjoying freshly baked Onigiri and handmade soba noodles, along with seasonal dishes. Additionally, there is an Onigiri-making experience where visitors can enjoy freshly baked Onigiri that they have made themselves in about 40 minutes.
