🛍️ Sapporo Factory

📝 Introduction

A complex commercial facility built on the former site of the "Kaitakushi Sapporo Brewery."

📖 Details

Sapporo Factory is a large commercial facility located in the Chuo Ward of Sapporo City. This facility is situated on the former site of the "Kaitakushi Brewery," a beer factory established by Sapporo Beer Company in 1876. It retains seven buildings from the factory era, featuring red brick architecture and a large courtyard, where a variety of facilities such as shopping centers, entertainment venues, restaurants, gyms, and hotels are gathered. One of its highlights is the ability to enjoy shopping or embark on a coffee tour without being affected by the weather. Inside the "Kaitakushi Brewery" located in Chimney Square, beer is still brewed using traditional brewing kettles. In addition to brewing equipment like the brewing kettles, there are screens that introduce the beer brewing process and display extremely rare photos and materials that tell the story of this birthplace of Japanese beer brewing history. Furthermore, on the first floor of the Red Brick Building, "BIER KELLER Sapporo Kaitakushi" offers the opportunity to taste fresh local beer.
