Takachiho beef has been awarded the highest honor, the "Prime Minister's Award," at the "National Wagyu Ability Contest," which evaluates beef cattle based on meat quality, quantity, and fat quality, once every five years. Only black-haired Wagyu that is produced and fattened under the management of the Takachiho area agricultural cooperative and reaches a grade of A4 or higher can be called Takachiho beef. In restaurants directly operated by JA (Japan Agricultural Cooperative), you can taste the tender and delicious Takachiho beef at reasonable prices. They offer steak sets for lunch and steak and yakiniku (grilled meat) sets for dinner (reservations are required one day in advance). You can choose from cuts like sirloin, chuck, or filet, with portions starting at 150g and increasing in 50g increments up to 250g. Among these, filet steak is the most popular. To avoid disappointment, it is recommended to dine during lunch hours. In addition to regular seating, there are tables with built-in grills and window seats for individual dining. There is a merchandise area at the entrance where you can purchase fresh Takachiho beef to enjoy grilling at home.

You can taste the local variety of Takachiho beef at the JA direct-operated restaurant. They serve steak during lunch and offer both steak and yakiniku in the evening. The yakiniku set menu requires a reservation one day in advance.
