📝 Introduction
The long-established tea shop in Ameyoko is very popular for its rich matcha soft serve ice cream!
📖 Details
Founded in the 7th year of the Taisho era (1918), Chano Kimi Noen is a well-established tea wholesale business. The Ueno store opened in the 21st year of the Showa era (1946) and is located next to the "Ameyoko Central Building," situated perfectly between Ameyoko and Ueno Nakamidori shopping streets.
On the first floor, a selection of carefully chosen teas from various regions of Japan, including Shizuoka, Kagoshima, and Uji, is available, all made from Japanese tea produced in their own factory. If you want to learn more about tea, you can ask the knowledgeable staff for information. The matcha soft serve ice cream made from high-quality Uji matcha, used in tea ceremonies, is a great choice to enjoy while strolling through Ameyoko. In addition to matcha soft serve, the mixed flavor paired with rich Hokkaido soft serve is also highly recommended. The paid tea service is quite popular, allowing customers to choose their preferred tea to fill their own water bottles.
The second floor features a merchandise area, stocked with over 200 types of teapots and tea sets at all times.
