At the Setouchi Exchange Center on Yuge Island, you can rent convenient and stylish electric scooters. This is a popular mode of transportation that is powered by electricity, zero-carbon, and highly regarded for its environmental friendliness. You can simply kick the ground with your foot to move the scooter forward, and gently grip the throttle on the right handle to start the engine, which will then run smoothly. Since it is electrically driven, it is easy to navigate bridges, slopes, and mountain roads. The engine is quite quiet, allowing you to hear the sound of waves along the coast and the gentle chirping of birds in the forest, letting you fully enjoy the island's natural beauty. Guided tours led by local guides living on the island are also available, taking you through various attractions along the Dream Island Coastal Road and to any destinations you wish to visit. Additionally, the E-Bike is a sporty electric-assisted bicycle. Even at high pedal speeds, it provides assistance, making it less tiring and very suitable for long rides around the island. In addition to the E-Bike, there are also urban bicycles that are easy to ride and compact 20-inch stylish mini bicycles. A variety of bicycles are available for rent. Bicycle rental stations are located at four sites: Yuge Island, Shimanoshima, Iwaki Island, and Uo Island, where you can return each bike for a fee of 1,100 yen (E-Bikes can only be returned at two locations).
