🎎 Wakasa Takahama Fireworks Festival

📝 Introduction

On the vast sandy beach seating area, enjoy the spectacular fireworks over the sea.

📖 Details

The annual Wakasa Takahama Fireworks Festival is a summer highlight of Wakasa Takahama. The fireworks are launched from Wakasa Watada Beach to the coastline of Shiroyama Beach, with a viewing area stretching 4 kilometers along the beach. The wide range of fireworks means that the crowds are less congested, allowing visitors to choose their own spots, lay down mats, and leisurely enjoy the show. The underwater fireworks launched in front of the sandy beach provide a direct experience of the sound and vibrations, creating a stunning impact. Many meticulously crafted fireworks, including blue and white designs inspired by Takahama's white sandy beaches and the ocean, are truly spectacular. On the day of the festival, the Hama Chaya (beach tea house) operates until late at night, allowing guests to enjoy food and drinks while watching the fireworks. Additionally, fireworks can also be viewed from the Anzutsuyama Observation Deck, which is a bit farther from the venue. From the observation deck, one can see the night view of the Takahama coastline beautifully illuminated alongside the fireworks.
