The shape and sauce of gohei-mochi vary by region, shop, and family. This shop's gohei-mochi is made from 100% locally sourced glutinous rice, shaped into dumplings. The signature sauce, a secret recipe made with a base of sugar and soy sauce, incorporates a generous amount of sesame and high-quality walnuts. The chewy dumplings, coated in the sweet and savory sauce, are grilled to perfection, releasing an enticing aroma that whets the appetite. In addition to the gohei-mochi that can be taken out as a single skewer, the shop also offers dine-in options such as a set of six skewers (with pickles) for one person and a gohei-mochi set meal (six skewers served with miso soup, pickled mountain vegetables, and fruit).
