🗺️ Aquatic Beauty World NIFREL
🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
An interactive museum that experiences the interaction between biology and the charm of nature through artistic sensibility.
📖 Details
Launched by "Kaiyukan," the new type of themed aquarium "NIFREL (活生生的博物館 NIFREL)" is based on the concept of "sensory contact," integrating elements of an aquarium, zoo, and museum. The facility is divided into eight distinct areas, such as "Touching Colors" and "Touching Waters," each expressing the theme of "diversity" through representative organisms and overall spatial installations. The vast artistic space "WONDER MOMENTS" is an experiential exhibition area that depicts the beautiful moments of nature through music and visuals, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the experience.
In the "Touching Waters" area, you can observe the leisurely life of the pygmy hippopotamus, which is classified as an endangered species. Additionally, the sight of the over 3-meter-long saltwater crocodile living in clear water is quite striking. It is recommended to carefully observe the ever-changing actions and behaviors of these creatures. This area also features a picnic café called "EAT EAT EAT," which offers a unique specialty product known as "edible water," a signature item of NIFREL.
At the exit of NIFREL, there is a transparent stamp that allows visitors to re-enter the facility multiple times on the same day after stamping. Nearby, you can find Japan's largest large-scale complex "Lalaport EXPOCITY" and "Expo '70 Commemorative Park," making it possible to explore the surrounding areas within a single day using the re-entry system.
On weekends and national holidays, there are direct buses from JR Suita Station to "EXPOCITY." On weekdays, there is a free shuttle bus exclusively for "Mitsui Shopping Park" members, departing from JR Ibaraki Station, Hankyu Kitashinchiku Station, and Hankyu Minamishinchiku Station. It is advisable to make good use of these transportation services.
