🗺️ Daikanzan Observation Deck大観山展望台

At the border between Hakone and Yugawara, there is a mountain called Daikanzan, which stands at an elevation of 1,015 meters. The Daikanzan Observation Deck is located at the end of the "Anest Iwata Toll Road Hakone," which connects Odawara and Daikanzan, making it a prime viewing spot with excellent visibility. From here, you can overlook Lake Ashi, Mount Fuji, the central crater of Komagatake, the outer rim of Mount Kintoki, and as far as the Southern Alps, Miura Peninsula, Boso Peninsula, and Oshima, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view. It is a popular destination for both scenic drives and cycling trips. Next to the observation deck is the "Anest Iwata Sky Lounge," where visitors can take a break. The first floor features a food area with light meals such as curry, hot dogs, and ramen. On the second floor, the paid café charges only 250 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary school students to enjoy coffee brewed with Hakone spring water or various other beverages. For an additional 200 yen, you can enjoy unlimited drinks. Desserts like cakes are also available (300 yen each). Additionally, cookies from the local Fujiya Hotel in Hakone are sold, making for great souvenirs. Beside the Sky Lounge, there is a "Hakone Swing" that visitors can freely use for photos. This swing, made from locally sourced hinoki cypress and other woods from Odawara, provides a stunning backdrop for capturing beautiful memories.

Located at the end of the Ananist Iwata Toll Road in Hakone, this viewpoint offers excellent panoramic views. You can enjoy a 360-degree view of Lake Ashi, Mount Fuji, and the surrounding volcanic outer rim of Hakone. The rest area provides light snacks and drinks, making it a great choice for a break.
