About Fairy Marsh
The sacred and majestic beauty of the scenery is awe-inspiring.
Details
The magnificent area around Niseko is home to several lakes, with 神仙沼 (Shinsen-numa) being the most beautiful wetland among them. At an elevation of 765 meters, the highland is surrounded by alpine plants and Ezo spruce, creating a stunning landscape filled with a sense of openness. The mysterious scenery, reminiscent of being lost in another world, along with the fresh, clear air, captivates visiting travelers.
The splendid emerald water reflects the rich and beautiful natural scenery surrounding it, a beauty that is beyond words. With the changing landscapes of the four seasons, every visit offers a chance to encounter new and enchanting views. Especially during the autumn months of September to October, the changing colors of the grasslands cover the wetland in a layer of golden yellow, creating a spectacular sight.
From the parking lot at the departure point to the wetland, there is a wooden boardwalk that takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk. Including time spent there, the round trip takes about an hour. It is easy to enjoy the mysterious and breathtaking views along with the alpine plants, making it a favorite among travelers. The restaurant features a light meal area and a shop, along with parking and restrooms.
