The fireworks event that started in 2018 takes place in the futuristic waterfront area "Minato Mirai 21," facing Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama Port. Yokohama's greatest strength lies in the collective effort of its citizens, known as "citizen power." The fireworks display is the highlight of the event promoting "SDGs Future City - Yokohama." In just 25 minutes, approximately 20,000 dazzling fireworks are launched, attracting the attention of fireworks enthusiasts from across the country. This fireworks festival, praised as the largest in the metropolitan area, is characterized by its combination of music and the visual effects of fireworks. The performance "Sky Symphony in Yokohama" features fireworks reflected on the surface of Yokohama Port, making the summer nights in Yokohama truly enchanting. Fireworks can be viewed from various locations including Rinko Park, the Earthquake-Resistant Pier, Yokohama HAMMERHEAD Pier 9, Yokohama HAMMERHEAD Park, and the Cup Noodles Museum Park, with all seating requiring payment. In addition to the fireworks, there are live performances by the Kanagawa University Wind Orchestra, jazz music, and local DJs, making the event quite spectacular.

The event held at 港未來21 starting in 2018 features a combination of music and fireworks, making it one of the largest fireworks festivals in the capital region.
