About Interactive Animal Park iZoo
The largest facility in Japan for the specific breeding of reptiles and amphibians. A zoo with a rich variety of experiences.
Details
The interactive animal park iZoo is one of the few specialized reptile and amphibian zoos in Japan. It is the largest facility in the country for breeding reptiles and amphibians, showcasing over 300 species of animals, including snakes, lizards, and turtles, and also engaging in breeding programs. Here, you can see the Galápagos giant tortoise, of which only a few remain in Japan, as well as the Fiji banded iguana, which is only bred here in the entire country, along with various other precious reptiles that are designated as endangered species.
The park features free-range animals that can be observed up close or even touched, which is one of its highlights. Searching for animals hiding in the shadows of trees or in the grass is another enjoyable activity. There are also feeding experiences and photo opportunities available. In the interaction area where you can directly touch snakes and crocodiles, different animals are rotated daily, so each visit offers a chance to interact with different reptiles. Children weighing under 30 kilograms can even sit on an Aldabra giant tortoise for a commemorative photo.
At the restaurant "Oceans," you can enjoy a variety of dishes made with crocodile meat, such as crocodile curry, fried crocodile, and crocodile skewers. You can savor these unique meals while overlooking the tortoise farm. There is also a gift shop called "Jungle Gift" that sells various original merchandise.
With the concept of "a zoo that changes with every visit," there is no map of the park, which is part of its charm, making it a deep and engaging zoo that encourages repeat visits.
