🗺️ Marukin Soy Sauce Memorial Hallマルキン醤油記念館

Founded in 1907, Marukin Soy Sauce has been continuously producing soy sauce that aligns with contemporary tastes using traditional natural brewing methods for over a century. In 1987, to commemorate its 80th anniversary, one of the factories built in the early Taisho era was transformed into a museum open to the public. This is the largest Gassho-zukuri building in the country and is registered as a national tangible cultural asset. Using authentic props and explanatory panels, the museum introduces the history and methods of soy sauce brewing in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. The "soy sauce mash" and "filter cloth" used in the factory are featured in the popular "Soy Sauce Mash Pressing Experience" (held twice a day at 10 AM and 2 PM), where visitors can extract soy sauce using a hand-operated small press. In addition to classic products, the product hall also offers store-exclusive items. The "Soy Sauce Soft Serve Ice Cream," made from "raw soy sauce" brewed in wooden barrels at the natural brewing warehouse, is a must-try delicacy.

The "Marukin Soy Sauce" Soy Sauce Museum, established in 1907, allows visitors to experience the history and techniques of soy sauce brewing through the display of tools and explanatory panels. The museum shop offers original "soy sauce soft serve ice cream" and limited edition products.
