About IROHA Hydrophilic Park
A paradise that coexists with nature, a great place to heal the body and mind.
Details
Iroha Shinsui Park is a park that extends outward centered around the Shinkawaguchi River, featuring beautiful natural landscapes. This park, which fully utilizes its abundant water resources and natural environment, consists of four areas and two paths: "Nakasu," "Right Bank," "Left Bank," and "Mikazuki Lake," as well as "Sakura Path" and "Sunshine Path."
The Shinkawaguchi River is home to many wild birds, making it a place where visitors can get close to nature. Along the "Sunshine Path," located beneath the shrine, there are stone walls, small ditches, wooden bridges, and a rare natural spring that is quite precious in the city. Additionally, there is a "Reed and Miscanthus Ecological Conservation Area" in the open space along the riverbank, which is home to many water voles and serves as a valuable natural environment for the growth of fireflies.
This area is also a popular spot for flower viewing. In spring, the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms bloom in competition with one another, while in autumn, the riverbanks are filled with cosmos flowers. The park also hosts various activities, including the "IROHA Ferry" for boat tours, and is committed to creating a more attractive recreational space by providing dining and entertainment facilities within the park.
